M&AEDF Renewables Acquires EnterSolar; Capitalizing On Growth In C&I Solar Market EDF Renewables North America (EDFR) announced that it has acquired 100-percent of EnterSolar, a provider of solar solutions to corporate commercial and industrial (C&I) customers. EDFR previously held a 50-percent interest in EnterSolar in a partnership announced in September 2018. Scatec Acquires SN Power Renewable power producer Scatec on February 1 confirmed that it had received all necessary approvals for its $1.16-billion buyout of SN Power from Norfund and that all suspensive conditions have been met. Battery Firm Freyr To Secure NYSE Listing Via Merger With Blank Check Co Norwegian battery cells developer Freyr AS will merge with special purpose acquisition company Alussa Energy Acquisition Corp (NYSE:ALUS) to secure a listing in New York and create a combined company with a pro forma equity value of about USD 1.4 billion (EUR 1.15bn). |

Desert Harvest 1 will provide electricity to MCE under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), while Desert Harvest 2 will supply energy and renewable attributes to Southern California Public Power Authority (SCPPA) under a 25-year Renewable Energy Credit (REC) + Index structure contract, according to EDF. Corporations Purchase A Record 23.7 GW Of Renewables Capacity In 2020 Corporations purchased a record of 23.7 GW of clean energy in 2020, up from 20.1GW in 2019 and 13.6GW in 2018, according to new research published by BloombergNEF (BNEF). The increase came despite a year devastated by the Covid-19 pandemic, a global recession and uncertainty about U.S. energy policy ahead of the presidential election. |
