M&ADuke Energy Renewables Acquires 144-MWac Pflugerville Solar Project In Texas from Canadian Solar Duke Energy Renewables, a subsidiary of Duke Energy (NYSE: DUK), is expanding its solar energy portfolio by acquiring the 144-megawatt (MWac) Pflugerville Solar project from Recurrent Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ: CSIQ). The project is under construction in Travis County, Texas, and is expected to achieve commercial operation in mid-2021. Orix Acquires 80% Of Spanish Renewables Firm Elawan Tokyo-based Orix Corporation has agreed to acquire an 80% stake in Elawan Energy, a Madrid-based renewable energy company focused on the development and ownership of wind and solar photovoltaic power plants worldwide. CCI Approves Total Renewables’ Stake Buy In Adani Green Energy The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved acquisition of minority stake in Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) by Total Renewables SAS, a wholly owned subsidiary of international energy major Total SE.
