Voltalia Turns Sod On 59MW Ventos Serra Do Mel

French renewables developer Voltalia has begun construction of a 59MW phase of its Serra Blanca renewables cluster in Brazil. The Ventos Serra do Mel (VSM) 4 wind farm is expected to begin operation in the first half of 2021. Nordex has been chosen to supply the 17 wind turbines to be installed at the VSM 4 site, each with a power rating of 3.46MW.

Solar Farm Set To Be Built On 60-Hectare Site Near Skegness

A major renewables energy company wants to build a solar farm on a 60.9-hectare site near Skegness. Anesco has applied for East Lindsey District Council to carry out an Environmental Impact Assessment for the site on Low Farm, Old Fen Bank, in Wainfleet. In its application the company says the proposed solar panels would generate around 50megawatts of electricity. This, it says, would be able to power 13,500 average homes and help save 12,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year.

Petrofac, Storegga To Build New Green Energy Capacity
